This article is a quick recap of all the questions asked during the AMA. We received a lot of engagement from our community and we are pleased you got to ask all of your questions!

Read on to find out more!

TruePNL: Hi everyone and welcome to the exciting TruePNL AMA with Sergei Boltunov, the CMO of BattleVerse! Could you please first introduce yourself? What’s your background and the current role you hold in the project?

BattleVerse: My name is Sergei, I’m CMO of the BattleVerse project. I have 10 years of experience in management and marketing activities in executive positions, I am an ardent crypto-enthusiast and investor, as well as a gamer. I got a great experience in the cryptocurrency space in the AVG team, where I also worked with partners, my own community, and affiliate media, as well as participated in preparing quality content for a variety of crypto sphere projects.

TruePNL: Can you tell us about BattleVerse and share your vision of it in general? What do you think distinguishes the project?

BattleVerse: BattleVerse is a P2E online game powered by DeFi x NFT and blockchain technology.

From the first NFT-collection, BattleVerse has already grown into an entire universe. We want to create a huge game world with a balanced economy, where everyone can find something to do and earn game tokens at the same time. Of course, the cornerstone around which our universe revolves is PvP battles and as the crown of all — participation and victory in the intergalactic tournament, getting the opportunity to breed interracial characters! But in addition to them, the game will have an exciting PvE-mode, where players can mine game tokens and unique artifacts; then there will appear ownership of territories, resource extraction, and industry.

As experienced game makers, we also understand that high-end gameplay will have a social aspect: the game will have clans and all related infrastructure. We understand that nothing can keep a player in the project better than communication with his friends or sweet revenge on his enemies.

A unique feature of BattleVerse is Multichain technology — the ability to manage your gaming assets by interacting with different blockchains.

With the use of this technology, we are significantly expanding the reach of the crypto audience, giving us the ability to move our NFTs between blockchains. Work on this capability is almost complete with our partners.

In addition, we plan to attract classic gamers to our project. When I compare the audience of blockchain games and the audience of classic games, a little marketer inside me screams every time!

We also plan to implement a DAO to make our project transparent and governed by the community.

TruePNL: Please share with all of us your team background? Why did you decide to make a project like Battleverse?

BattleVerse: Since we have limited time, as much as I would love to tell you about BattleVerse 24 hours a day, let me introduce you to the 4 co-founders of the project:

  • Vlad Dryamov — Experienced in game development/web development/blockchain development. Started this project as a tech lead. Created 3d character generator from scratch. Previously worked as tech lead in a game dev project.
  • Alexander Simakov — In past CEO of several AR and multimedia companies. Experienced in networking and business development.
  • Alexey Kovalenko — CG artist with over 20 years of experience. Previously worked as a creative director for browser games.
  • Konstantin Kovalenko — VFX and pipeline artist with over 10 years of experience. Previously worked for Stargate Studios Malta and worked for several tiers 1 series.

Besides them, we have a cool team of highly qualified, expertized, and energetic professionals with experience in developing game projects. The main team members are listed on our website with links to their LinkedIn, Artstation, or Github. So please go to our site and get acquainted with all the key members after the AMA. As I said earlier, the project was originally conceived by Vlad and Alexey simply as an NTF collection. However, in the process, the idea of making the collection more utilitarian came up. A keychain opener is better than a simple keychain, right?

TruePNL: What is required from a user to start playing? Can users play for free and how can they generate profit?

BattleVerse: In order to start playing our very first version, which will feature 1-on-1 PvP battles in its first phase, you need to have at least one character in your wallet and swap some stables for $QZQ game currency to contribute it as “Battle Funding” in battles against opponents. Let me guide you now on the prices of our characters, and where you can buy them, give me a minute.

So, our first characters, Baby Combat Bots Gen 1 are completely sold out and are now only available on the secondary market for ETH. Gen1 Battle Shrooms are still available for mint on our website for 100 MATIC (can also be minted for BNB & ETH)

You enter the game with your character, choose the appropriate amount of BattleFunding in QZQ tokens, and fight your opponent. The winner takes all the Fund minus the commission. The mechanism of battle is based on the principle: rock-paper-scissors. Everything is as transparent and fair as possible. Defeat your opponent tactically, crush him intellectually, take the reward! In the future, we will have a mechanism for renting NFTs so that almost everyone can play our game with close to zero investment.

Community Questions

TruePNL: (translated into English) BattleVerse looks like a very fun game with an attractive design. But I noticed that many people have not even heard about it, and the project community is not yet large enough. How is your team going to increase the popularity of BattleVerse and increase awareness?

BattleVerse: We understand the importance of marketing in the crypto world, but we also realize that with so many projects popping up every day, it’s very hard to keep the audience’s attention there for long. That’s why we launch a big marketing campaign only now, on the eve of our IDO, and only when the internal tests of the first version of the game are already underway. Our marketing campaign includes working with a large number of verified KOLs covering all leading cryptocurrency regions, as well as media partnerships. By the way, the first articles in large and popular online publications will already be out soon!

In addition, we want to attract a really interested audience, so we will involve our community in the marketing with the launch of our bounty program. We will reward community members for reviews of our game, and we will hold various contests. We believe the main driving force of the project is a strong and interested community!

TruePNL: Collaborations and partnerships are some of the most important cornerstones to help improve adoption. Can you tell us about your current partners, plans for partnerships, and what everybody stands to gain from these partnerships?

BattleVerse: We are working quite successfully in this direction. Look at the lists!

Backers: Magnus Capital, Seedify, Enjinstarter, Equinox, Onchain GG, SafeLaunch Ventures, Legion Ventures, Bluewheel Capital, Pixel Inc., TruePNL, Gamestation, Vespertine Capital, Big Brain Holdings, Aymeric, WhiteList Ventures, Green Access Partners, 2A Ventures, Zephyrus Capital, CryptoPing, DCI, AVG, CryptoOMG Capital

Confirmed launchpads: Seedify, Enjinstarter, Equinox, BullPerks, Gamestation, Oxbull

Media partners: BlockoHooters

We’re also already talking to a number of gaming guilds interested in the project, as well as several NFT projects that already want to appear in our metaverse! We are very carefully selecting partners who believe in this being a long-term project. But anyone can understand that by looking at the rather rigid vesting. Therefore, when we make another partnership, we are sure that our partners came to us for the long term, that they are interested in developing the project, and that they are ready to help in any way they can on our difficult way!

TruePNL: Please tell us more about this technology, why is it more progressive for the entire GameFi industry?

BattleVerse: Due to the high speed of development of blockchain technologies and the constant emergence of new protocols, it is necessary to provide for the scalability of the BatlleVerse to work with any protocols and blockchain platforms. Our main technical idea is to create a gateway capable of taking data from one system/protocol/platform and transferring it to another. Multichain technology is able to overcome excessive volatility, provide security, scalability, compatibility, maximum transaction speed, use all the advantages of different networks. We believe that this is the only way the projects of the future should work.

TruePNL: Currently, many GameFi projects support the principle of Pay to win. Wealthy gamers are much more likely to win than those on a tight budget. This phenomenon does not promote fair competition and, as a result, only repels many players. How can BattleVerse provide players with a fair and transparent competitive system, where the results are determined by playing skills?

BattleVerse: Great question! We thought for a long time about creating a project that would be interesting to everyone, both people with big deposits and beginners in the world of cryptocurrencies and crypto games in particular. And that’s how our Battle Funding system was born. Before the fight, everyone determines the amount of the BattleFunding, on the basis of which the matching takes place. In this way, we divorce players with the best playing conditions from newcomers. And we keep both sides interested in the game. “The rich fight the rich, the poor fight the poor.” I’d also like to point out that our combat system is balanced in such a way that even the weakest NFT can beat the top 1. Yes, with a small chance, but it can. We have been fine-tuning our balance for a very long time, and we are still making small adjustments, including making sure that the top NFT owners don’t end up in a “golden cage” when no one wants to fight them. In addition, with the introduction of PvE and resource mining or crafting you will be able to do other income-generating activities instead of fighting at all!

TruePNL: (translated into English) Are you aware that Play-to-Earn projects have become mundane and duplicitous? Players leave the platforms after a while due to the vicious cycle in the games. Do you have solutions to keep the BattleVerse game dynamic and constantly updated compared to your other competitors?

BattleVerse: Yes, this is indeed a problem for play-to-earn games. But we seem to have found a neat solution. We see a contradiction in many GameFi projects that claim their main mission is to massively adapt P2E games for casual gamers, then release something similar to the 2000s mobile game. We want to release a really quality product that can attract casual gamers from all over the world. We want not only to capture our niche in the GameFi world but also to focus on attracting casual gamers to our project, of which there are several billion in the world.

We believe that BattleVerse is capable of capturing players’ attention so that they will want to develop in our world, spend their earnings on developing their characters or factories and mines, and enjoy the game, not on how many tokens they have earned today. Which, of course, does not negate the fact that sooner or later they can sell all of their assets to the player who came after.

If you look at our roadmap, you’ll see how much is planned to be realized in our metaverse! We can say that we want to change the “play-TO-earn” model to “play-AND-earn”, where we put the fun of the game itself in the first place, and making money becomes an additional and of course very important reward!

TruePNL: Seems like the plan is to continue minting different types of battlers into the future. Won’t this dilute the value of current battlers? Won’t it be better to allow a set number and then organic growth via breeding maybe?

BattleVerse: Very good point! To preserve the value of your NFTs, despite the appearance of new races (which are planned for 6), we will implement the mechanism of NFT burning, when as a result of sacrificing one of your characters, you can enhance the second. In this case, everyone will benefit: the one who burned NFTs will get a boost, and everyone else will get an increase in the value of their characters.

The point is that we need to have an initial variety of starting races in order for the most diverse NFT descendants to appear. Two races aren’t enough for a limitless Metaverse! Also, we certainly don’t have a plan to release new and different NFTs uncontrollably. It’s much more important for us to have a balanced economy that benefits everyone, players, investors, and creators alike.

TruePNL: All NFT games have a common problem, as the rewards for winning increase, the number of tokens increases and this leads to a drop in the price of the token. How do you plan to solve this problem?

BattleVerse: We have a very large, voluminous, and elaborate economic model consisting of several different cycles in terms of time and income levels! I will now show you an exclusive diagram — we are presenting it to the public for the first time.

As you can see, there is a wide variety of mechanisms in our world that will generate income. At the same time, we don’t limit anyone: if you want to get game tokens quickly, you can spend a few battles in the arena. Passive income is interesting — you will need to build a mine or a factory, but it will take a lot more resources and time. In addition, some of the tokens received as a commission will be burned, allowing you to run a deflationary model!

TruePNL: I think your project is better and of better quality than many metaverse projects. Where do you think this project will be in 5 years? What is your highest goal?

BattleVerse: If we talk about the most ambitious goal, we want everyone in the crypto-world to know our game in 5 years, and if they didn’t play it, they would keep our token or a couple of NFTs to grow with. We can see that by this time the project will be fully DAO, with a balanced economy, will cover all NFTxDeFixGameFi areas, will be a place where everyone will want to come again and again! Also, we’d really like our metaverse to become a safe haven for many really high-quality NFT-collections, which for one reason or another couldn’t make themselves known on their own. We can help them with that.

TruePNL: How to participate in the Beta test?

BattleVerse: In our closed beta test we plan to allow only holders of our NFTs. And our oldest fans, Baby Bots holders, will have an advantage. In any case, stay tuned for announcements!
